I have a question about the coming new moon, on May 18th. from my ehemeris, it looks like a void of course moon is happening at the same time as the new moon, which is in Taurus; the void of course lasts for a few hours, then switches into Gemini. So, when I do my new moon wishes for this month, do I take into account the taurus or the gemini energies in designing my wishes and in wording them? I'd appreciate it if some one could clarify this for me.
thanks,

I know this is a "whole New Moon Cycle" after your question, Imzaidi... but thought I would just post a reply direct from Jan regarding this for others visitors wondering about New Moon Wishing & when the Moon goes void-of-course and changes Signs.
Encourage all visitors to check out lots of very helpful information on the Membership Service, "Jan answers your Astrological Questions," - and you'll get GREAT information from Jan like:
"Regarding New Moon wishing and the Void of Course Moon, I personally avoid writing down my wishes during the times of any Void of Course Moon. Sometimes it can’t be avoided because upon rare occasion, the Moon stays void for a stretch of a couple of days.
The power of the New Moon - for wishing purposes - continues for 48 hours after the exact time of its conjunction with the Sun (which is the “New Moon”) so generally, the Moon will be out of the void sometime within the first 48 hours.
Although in May of 2004 the New Moon in Taurus left the void only when it entered Gemini, still the New Moon occurred in the sign of Taurus. It is the Taurus energy that was activated and opened for fresh progress. Therefore, it is the SIGN the New Moon actually occurs in each month that governs the energy activated for wishing."
