Learning lessons of love will be the primary theme during December.

There is a strong, harmonious backdrop of loving energy in the atmosphere that permeates the entire month. However, if we take it for granted we can be tempted to go off track - either by being envious of the good fortune of others, or by expecting “special favors” from those who are close.

Saturn continues in retrograde motion in Cancer for the entire month (11/8/04 - 3/21/05). Saturn in Cancer alerts us to the importance of becoming more conscious about our own personal needs for security, as well as establishing mutual safety in our intimate relationships with others.

Because Saturn is traveling in the final 10 degrees of the sign of Cancer, we are learning these lessons on a spiritual level at this time. This means we will be more aware of the “bigger picture” in terms of our relationships with family and others who are close to us. We will have a greater ability to recognize any adjustments we need to make in order to approach these relationships in ways that nurture both ourselves and the other people involved.

Saturn in Cancer also opposes Chiron in Capricorn all month - a combination that can trigger issues of control. Particularly when dealing with family members, old memories of power struggles with authority figures may arise.

Because both Chiron and Saturn are in a grand square with the nodal axis during December, our best bet is to . . . . .
