Hi guys, CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A QUICK EXPLANATION OF MY GRANDADDY POWER PERIOD and what I can do in this time? Can't get hold of the relevant book and I'm sure the period is nearly up - want to take advantage of my forty wishes

Your Granddaddy Power Period (GPP) occurs during the period of time when the Transiting Sun is traveling through the 11th House of your Natal Birth Chart. As Jan discusses in New Moon Astrology, her experimentation & research into this has shown her that this Transit is very powerful... and specifically applies to Wishing in an "Overall" & "Future-Oriented" kind of way.

This is because your 11th House is an Aspect of your consciousness / your personal "inner-wiring" or road map of how you perceive (or are wanting to perceive) ~ the future in a humanistic way (...that's part of what your 11th House symbolizes).

In making wishes, I know that she always recommends that you need to trust yourself and consider all areas in you life: (family/work/career/finances/relationships/personal qualities & interests) that seem of most importance & resonate with you personally. This will help you identify those areas that are accurate for you and may benefit you by following Jan's guidelines when making wishes

Then, if you can create Wishes in alignment with the Sign of your 11th House Cusp that brings forth Positive Emotion, go with that. Positive Emotional responses are an indication from you emotional body that, YES! ~ There is a positive energy here that brings me pleasure to witness and therefore would also bring me pleasure to manifest.

Wishing is different than affirmations. The techniques of affirmations stimulate the male/yang aspect of ourselves... the powerful ‘doer’. For example, if a person is experiencing a lack of money, the affirmation might be: “I AM wealthy NOW!”

The principle of wishing is a female/yin approach. We are magnetically attracting the good we desire coming to us. In the above money example, the wish may be phrased: “I want to easily find myself fully receptive to - and receiving - lots of money in a happy way!” - or - “I want Divine Guidance to show me exactly the right steps to take that will result in happy financial prosperity for me."

The wording of wishes is phrased in a way that gently opens us to receive our good. Wishing acknowledges, rather than denies, current outer circumstances. It originates from the position of the child and evokes help from positive spiritual forces or a Higher Power.

With wishing, we are working on ourselves - gently opening our receptivity to the abundance that is already all around us. That which we are seeking is also seeking us. It is a matter of stating our intention for good and then being open to receiving it.
