Looking back on 2009, and what 2010 will be like . . .
-
Looking back on 2009 2009 was a year of learning the limits of creating one’s destiny through pride and/or willfulness. Speculation based on the thrill of the ‘gamble’ was definitely reigned in. This happened on the financial and emotional fronts. Through a series of events and adjustments, we learned about cooperating with the flow of life, rather than relying so heavily on our own inner strength and will. As the world economy shifted from extravagance into caution, basic security became more important than pleasure. During the second half of the year we began learning about the necessity of taking personal responsibility for the wellbeing of our own world. What 2010 will be like The overall theme of the year continues what we began learning in the second half of 2009: the value of being sensible in directing our lives. Freedom versus restriction is one of the underlying themes of 2010. There will be a pull between our desire for excitement, change, leading a life of freedom - versus - the feeling of being held back by material restrictions. Through this tug-of-war, we’ll gain clarity about how to consciously arrange our lives so that both our needs for excitement and our needs for practical security can be . . . . . Yet amidst all the activity of outer change, there is an inner theme in the unfolding of universal timing. Being aware of that theme will help you to cooperate with the changes brought your way, and thus create an easier life.
