Monthly HoroscopeSeptember 2023
You’re likely to enjoy the slow and steady quality of this month, Taurus. We’ll start the month with an eye towards finishing what we started, while the second half of September will support some initial steps forward. Venus will station direct on September 3, finishing a cycle that began on July 22. With Venus as your ruling planet, you probably felt a strong pull towards a situation or relationship from the past. As Venus stations direct, you could be feeling more solid in your sense of self and ready to either say goodbye or move forward on your terms.
Jupiter will station retrograde in your sign on September 4, initiating a cycle that will last until December 30. However, unlike inner planet retrogrades, Jupiter retrograde cycles are more subtle and don’t affect our day-to-day lives as much. It’s still good to be aware of Jupiter retrograde because we can make an internal shift during these times. With Jupiter retrograde in your sign, you may feel that opportunities coming from others seem to be stalled out or disappearing. This cycle is meant to direct you towards your own resources and abilities. Use the coming months to figure out what you can do by yourself and be ready to combine forces with other people as we move into 2024.
September’s New Moon will be on the 14th at 21 degrees of Virgo. If you were born on or around May 13, of any year, or have around 21 degrees Taurus rising, you’ll get a motivational boost at this New Moon. All Taurus people can use the power of the Virgo New Moon to set intentions related to romantic partnerships, parenting, creative projects, and self-expression.
The day after the New Moon, on September 15, Mercury will station direct, ending a cycle that began on August 23. This Mercury retrograde cycle was extra potent because it was occurring at the same time Venus was retrograde. If you have experienced some misunderstandings in the past month, you’re not alone. Fortunately, the energy will continue to clear through the second half of the month, helping you with direct communication. Pay attention to the details of your plans as you slowly begin some new projects during the second half of the month.
September 23 (Eastern Daylight Time) marks the Equinox and the Sun’s ingress into Libra. As the Northern Hemisphere enters the fall months and the Southern Hemisphere enters the spring months, the energy of Libra season will be felt all over the world. Taurus people will get an extra boost for activities involving teamwork and collaboration. If you are trying to get some healthy habits established, try the buddy system for best results.
The Full Moon September 29 will be at 6 degrees of Aries. You may have a realization regarding suppressed feelings of anger. Avoid overreacting and take some time to yourself to consider if your reasons for being angry stem from the past or are directly related to your current situation. You may need to let go of some old resentments in order to move forward. A few days after the Full Moon has passed, you’ll probably feel calmer and able to focus on a healthy outlet for your feelings.
