THE ASTROLOGICAL EDGE . . . . . November 2018

This month, we’ll experience the final Mercury retrograde cycle of 2018. The past six months have been unusually retrograde-heavy, with Mars having been retrograde over the summer and Venus retrograde this fall. Though Venus will station direct on the 16th of this month, we’ll be in the shadow phase of this phenomenon until December 17. The bottom line: New beginnings aren’t supported at this time. And with Mercury stationing retrograde on the 16th, we’ll need to be patient and go with the flow. Make the most of this unique astrological timing to get caught up on work projects, reconnect with loved ones, and release limiting thoughts that could be holding you back.

When we’re able to see the advantages of a retrograde cycle, we can experience success without trying to force new beginnings. Rework your plans and be willing to retrace your steps and give yourself a second chance. Be extra mindful during the days around the 24th, when Neptune will station direct. That can often cause a “foggy” feeling that makes communication and thought processes difficult.

Retrograde cycles are a great time to hold leadership accountable for the past, as it will be difficult to gloss over problems and just push forward. It’s possible that we’ll be stuck in a “rewind” loop that forces us to take a new approach to old problems. Consider November a chance for a do-over that could include repealing outdated laws, recalling elected officials, or reconsidering how we spend our valuable time and resources.

During Uranus’ travels through Aries, we saw outcries for individual freedom and modernizing outdated systems. Though sometimes volatile, the effects of Uranus in Aries helped people gain the courage to stand up for themselves and push for change. Young people, in particular… Members can read the FULL COLUMN HERE.
